First off, I am NOT a big candle person. I find most candle scents rather nauseating. For kicks while Christmas shopping the other day I started smelling a store's candles and saw this one with a wood wick. It didn't smell too bad, so I took a chance. And I actually LIKE it! It is VERY strong, even in a hallway, so I don't keep it lit a long time. I like the big cork which keeps the scent down when I don't need it. The wax quality seems very good, too. I am impressed enough that I looked up the company's website! :-) I only wish there was a way to pre-sniff other candles they make before buying...
The smell is well balanced and pleasant.
